ELSAN HAMMADDE SANAYİİ A.Ş. being a member of the Elginkan Group was founded as a brass sand casting foundry in 1969, in Istanbul-Maltepe. ELSAN started producing brass rod in 1971, and increased its capacity by means of Horizontal Continious Casting Line in 1976. From 1989, ELSAN started to concantrate on automation and introduced a new plant in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone in 1990. ELSAN continiued to development and increased the capacity of Continuous Casting with a new fully computurized second Horizantal Continious Casting Line in 1995. Ingot production was started with investments completed in 2000. ELSAN owned TS-ISO 9002 Quality System Certificate on 1997, and works continually to improve quality of production with a new investment program.
