The machine is complete. It was used to process turbines for power generating systems of hydro power station. The mechanical part of the machine is in very good condition. Column spindles are equipped with face plates with facing slide. Now the machine is dismantled due to conversion of the production. Accessories: rotary table 3600 x 3600 mm; face plate 2 pc General description: Horizontal boring mills with crosswise movable head column, travelling spindle head and detachable rotary table are used for processing of bore-sizing heavy box-shaped parts. The machine can do drilling, boring, hole enlarging, reaming, facing with facing slide, slot and surface milling and internal and external threading. STANKO machines have an extra-rigid reinforced bar-type spindle 220 mm in diameter. Unlike modern analogies of other manufacturers the horizontal boring machine model NS-26 is durable in use thanks to its design: the lifespan is a few decades even at constant maximum charge; maintenance interval is 6 years. The machine is produced in the machine tool building factory Tyazhgidropress in Novosibirsk and it complies with USSR GOST quality system and with its modern analogue ISO9000. 2-column horizontal boring mill NS-26 is equipped with crosswise movable columns to process complex heavy workpieces in a single setup. If a modern CNC system like Siemens Sinumeric 840Di is installed, the machine will extend its possibilities to process complex geometrical forms and oversize workpieces. In order to facilitate the production of heavy horizontal boring mills some manufacturers produce machines with fixed columns and large displacements of rotary table up to 15,000 mm. Such a design reduces the cost but also significantly reduces the lifespan due to the increased load on rotary table which leads to short life span and loss of accuracy. Unlike this arrangement the horizontal boring mill model NS-26 can be equipped with floor plates where workpieces with weight up to 150 tons can be placed. Thanks to the size of the floor plates which are alongside the column displacement length it’s possible to do machining of very large body parts and heavy forgings.
